Jason Brown is an Associate at Murphy Law Group and joined the firm in 2011. He received his J.D. cum laude in 2008 from Seton Hall University School of Law where he was a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and a teacher’s assistant.  Jason served on the Seton Hall Moot Court Board and received awards for Best Brief and Best Orator in Seton Hall’s Moot Court Tournament.  He received his Bachelor of Arts cum laude in the field of Government from Harvard University, where he also studied Biochemistry, and was a four-time varsity letter winner and NCAA Division I pitcher for Harvard’s baseball team.

After obtaining licenses to practice in New York and New Jersey, Jason worked as litigation counsel to the Port Authorities of New York and New Jersey.  He advised the General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer on litigation matters related to regional businesses, capital infrastructure, and internal employment practices.

After moving to the west coast and obtaining his license in California, Jason joined a law firm in Los Angeles, representing plaintiffs in various types of employment matters.  He managed dozens of cases from inception through trial in federal and state courts.  In September 2011, Jason served as lead counsel – and prevailed – in a jury trial in the Central District of Los Angeles.

Jason’s unique contribution to Murphy Law Group’s boutique practice is comprised of his multi-state licensure, his experience as both plaintiff and defense counsel and his multi-jurisdictional trial work.  This broad base of experience allows the Firm to advise clients from multiple perspectives.

Jason is an active member of the Harvard Club of Southern California and the UCLA Anderson School of Management Community.
